About CivicAssist (DE)

An independent private service for immigrants, expats, and residents in Germany.

Independent service notice: CivicAssist (DE) is an independent private service. It is not affiliated with any German public authority, including Bürgeramt, Ausländerbehörde, Jobcenter, Familienkasse, or any other government body.

What is CivicAssist (DE)?

CivicAssist (DE) is a digital assistant that helps people living in Germany deal with common administrative tasks — without needing to be fluent in German bureaucracy.

We offer two core services:

  • Document preparation — guided questionnaires that generate a filled PDF example for documents like Anmeldung, Bürgergeld, Kindergeld, and more. The PDF helps you understand what information goes where before you fill in the official form.
  • Termin monitoring — automatic 24/7 scanning of official Bürgeramt booking systems. When availability is detected, you receive an email notification with the official booking page link — typically within 1–2 minutes.

Who is it for?

CivicAssist (DE) is built for:

  • Immigrants and refugees navigating German registration and benefit systems
  • Expats who have recently moved to Germany and need to complete administrative steps
  • Long-term residents who struggle with German-language forms
  • Anyone who wants to prepare before visiting a government office

The service is available in 6 languages: English, German, Ukrainian, Polish, Turkish, and Arabic.

What we are — and what we are not

We are an independent private software service. We help you prepare and understand documents. We are not:

  • A government authority or official registration service
  • A legal advice or immigration law service
  • Affiliated with Bürgeramt, Ausländerbehörde, Familienkasse, or any other public body

Generated PDFs are preparation examples only — they are not official documents and cannot be submitted to any authority as-is. You must always use the official form from the relevant government website.

Termin monitoring notifies you when slots appear — it does not guarantee that you will successfully book an appointment. Slots may fill within seconds of appearing.

Why we built this

German administrative processes are difficult even for native speakers. Forms are long, the language is technical, and offices are overloaded. A missed field or incorrect entry can mean weeks of delay. We built CivicAssist (DE) to reduce that friction — helping people prepare confidently and act quickly.
